Master of Souls

In January 668 A.D., Fidelma of Cashel, an advocate of Brehon law and a religieuse, is summoned to investigate the chilling murder of Abbess Faife and the vanishing of six young female religieuse during a pilgrimage. Upon her arrival with her husband Eadulf, they uncover another violent death, that of a senior scholar found bludgeoned in the oratory. Amidst rumors of shipwreckers and a notorious figure known as "The Master of Souls" causing unrest in the region, Fidelma must navigate a complex web of mystery and danger in her most challenging case yet.
