Valley of the Shadow

In AD 666 Ireland, Sister Fidelma travels to the remote valley of Gleann Geis on a mission to negotiate with the Druidic chieftain, Laisre, for the establishment of a Christian church and school. However, her journey takes a dark turn when she discovers the bodies of thirty-three young men arranged in a Druidic circle, victims of a chilling pagan ritual. As an emissary of her brother, the king, and a skilled advocate in the Brehon courts, Fidelma must unravel the mystery behind the murders, risking her own safety and the stability of her brother's kingdom in the process.
