Lila Cain is the pen name of writing duo Kate Griffin and Marcia Hutchinson. Griffin is the author of the Kitty Peck historical crime series and the standalone historical novel Fyneshade, while Hutchinson is a former lawyer, founder of educational publisher Primary Colours, and author of the novel The Mercy Step. Together, they write immersive historical fiction centered on overlooked communities and dramatic stories of survival, freedom, and ambition.
