Alka Joshi is an Indian American novelist and the internationally bestselling author of the Jaipur Trilogy: The Henna Artist, The Secret Keeper of Jaipur, and The Perfumist of Paris. She began her fiction-writing career later in life, publishing The Henna Artist at age 62 after a decade of work; the novel became a New York Times bestseller and was followed by Six Days in Bombay.
