Rowan Jacobsen is an award-winning American author and journalist who writes about science, nature, food, sustainability, and lesser-explored parts of the world. He is the author of nine books, including the James Beard Award-winning A Geography of Oysters, American Terroir, The Living Shore, Fruitless Fall, and Truffle Hound. His work has appeared in publications such as Harper’s, Outside, The Atlantic, Scientific American, Smithsonian, The New York Times, and The Washington Post, and he lives in Vermont.
