Alephonsion Deng is a South Sudanese author and speaker whose writing career centers on autobiographical accounts of war, displacement, and resettlement. He co-authored the award-winning memoir They Poured Fire on Us From the Sky: The True Story of Three Lost Boys of Sudan with Benson Deng, Benjamin Ajak, and Judy A. Bernstein, and later co-authored Disturbed in Their Nests, which follows his transition from a Kenyan refugee camp to life in San Diego.
