Heather Dune Macadam began her career as a performance artist and dancer with the Martha Graham Contemporary Dance Company. After an accident ended her performing career, she turned to writing. She is best known for Holocaust-focused nonfiction, including Rena’s Promise, 999, and Star Crossed, and has also written the literary mystery The Weeping Buddha and produced and directed the documentary 999: The Forgotten Girls.
