Tayari Jones is an Atlanta-born, New York Times bestselling novelist whose fiction centers on African American life, family, race, class, gender, and the American South. She is the author of Leaving Atlanta, The Untelling, Silver Sparrow, An American Marriage, and Kin; An American Marriage won the Women’s Prize for Fiction and was an Oprah’s Book Club selection. Jones is also a professor of creative writing at Emory University and an Andrew D. White Professor-at-Large at Cornell University.
