Camille Acker is a Washington, D.C.-born writer, educator, and editor. She is the author of the short-story collection Training School for Negro Girls and the Audible Original short story Starchild, and her satirical novel A Very Special Episode is forthcoming from Random House. Her fiction and cultural criticism have appeared in publications including The New York Times Book Review, Publishers Weekly, Electric Literature, and Audible Originals.
