A Saxon Shadow

Chief Inspector Shadow investigates a series of incidents, starting with vandalism at St Mary’s Abbey and escalating to the murder of a wealthy businessman in a moorland village, who was obsessed with Saxon history. As Shadow navigates the tangled web of break-ins and ransacked spaces, he grapples with a growing list of suspects and the possibility that the murder is tied to an ancient Saxon treasure. Partnered with the enthusiastic Sergeant Jimmy Chang, Shadow must delve into both ancient motives and contemporary conflicts to unravel the case.
