The Body in Seven Dials

Set against the backdrop of World War I, this story follows Dorothy Peto, the Metropolitan Police’s first female superintendent, as she navigates the challenges of helping her community during a time of war. Alongside other determined women, she forms the Women’s Police Volunteers to assist with maintaining order and supporting refugees, facing skepticism along the way. When a mysterious death occurs during a bombing raid, Dorothy’s investigative instincts lead her to uncover deeper secrets and potential suspects, testing her resolve and ingenuity.
