Wise Woman

In the mid-1920s, Bessie Elliott and her husband Fletcher welcome their six-year-old nephew John into their home on Stone Mountain, aiming to provide him with love and security. As John adapts to life on the farm and develops a bond with his aunt and uncle, tension emerges when Bessie's healing abilities are challenged by a mysterious illness and the controversial Eugenics movement led by a new doctor in Black Mountain. Alongside these personal struggles, the community faces threats to the natural beauty of Stone Mountain, igniting a conflict that unites and divides them.
