Carrie Kabak is a British- and Irish-born author based in Missouri. She began her career as a children’s-book illustrator before publishing her first novel, Cover the Butter, which became an Independent Booksellers’ Pick, won an AudioFile Earphones Award, and was nominated for a Quill Award. Her writing has also appeared in several essay anthologies, and her later fiction includes Shibby Magee: An Irish Tragicomedy. Alongside writing, she designs book covers and previously worked as a production designer at Hallmark Cards.
