After earning bachelor’s and master’s degrees in education from the University of Oregon and working as a fourth-grade teacher, she pursued freelance writing and eventually sold her debut novel, Julia’s Chocolates. She writes emotionally driven stories about families, relationships, and personal change, including All About Evie, The Man She Married, and Henry’s Sisters.
