Fiona Carnarvon, the 8th Countess of Carnarvon, is a British author and historian who writes about Highclere Castle and the real people behind its history. She began with Highclere guidebooks and later wrote bestselling historical biographies, including Lady Almina and the Real Downton Abbey and Lady Catherine and the Real Downton Abbey, drawing on the castle’s archives. Her other books explore Highclere’s history, traditions, entertaining, food, and connection to the discovery of Tutankhamun’s tomb.
