Donna Hill began her writing career in 1987 with short stories for confession magazines and published her first novel, Rooms of the Heart, in 1990. She has written more than 100 published titles and is regarded as an early pioneer of African American romance. Her work spans multiple genres, and three novels—Intimate Betrayal, Masquerade, and A Private Affair—were adapted for television.
