Martin Windrow (1944–2025) was a British military historian, editor, and author who worked in military and aviation publishing from the 1960s. He was a longtime commissioning and series editor at Osprey Publishing, where he wrote and edited extensively on military history, especially the French Foreign Legion, the French Indochina War, and modern warfare. His notable books include The Last Valley: Dien Bien Phu and the French Defeat in Vietnam, Our Friends Beneath the Sands, and The Owl Who Liked Sitting on Caesar.
