Ruth Reichl is an American food writer, restaurant critic, editor, and author. She served as restaurant critic for the Los Angeles Times and The New York Times and as editor in chief of Gourmet magazine, and is best known for culinary memoirs including Tender at the Bone, Comfort Me with Apples, Garlic and Sapphires, and Save Me the Plums, as well as the novels Delicious! and The Paris Novel.
