Tara Westover is an American historian and memoirist whose debut book, Educated, was published in 2018. The memoir became a major bestseller, earned numerous literary honors, and established Westover as a prominent nonfiction writer. She holds a PhD in intellectual history from Trinity College, Cambridge, and has also worked as a writer in residence at Harvard University.
