Joe McGinniss (1942–2014) was an American journalist, nonfiction writer, and novelist who rose to prominence with The Selling of the President 1968, a bestselling account of Richard Nixon’s 1968 campaign marketing. He became especially known for his bestselling true-crime books Fatal Vision, Blind Faith, Cruel Doubt, and Never Enough, while also writing political biographies, travel and sports nonfiction, and literary journalism. Over a forty-year career, he published twelve books.
