Mark Seal is an American journalist and nonfiction author who began his career reporting for Texas newspapers before becoming a freelance magazine writer in 1984. He joined Vanity Fair as a contributing editor in 2003, where his investigative and cultural reporting has covered crime, business, celebrities, and Hollywood. He has written and collaborated on numerous nonfiction books, including The Man in the Rockefeller Suit, Wildflower, and Leave the Gun, Take the Cannoli.
