Joanne Kormylo is a Canadian historical-fiction writer whose debut novel, The Resistance Daughter, was inspired by her father’s World War II journal and true family stories. She researched the novel by studying wartime records, interviewing veterans, serving on an Air Force Museum board, and traveling through the UK, Poland, and Germany. The novel was published by Hodder in 2025, followed by The Resistance Orphan.
