The Resistance Daughter

Set in 1942 Poland, this poignant historical novel follows Anna Kowalski, who joins the Polish Resistance after her hometown is destroyed in WWII. Tasked with smuggling children out of the Warsaw Ghetto, she crosses paths with RAF pilot Johnnie Nowak, whom she helps escape the city. Their journey takes a dark turn when Anna is captured and sent to Ravensbrück concentration camp, where she faces the brutality of a notorious guard known as The Beast.
