Over a career spanning roughly three decades, he has written and produced award-winning current-affairs, history, and true-crime documentaries, while contributing to publications including The Times, The Observer, The Wall Street Journal, and Private Eye. His books include Defying Hitler, co-written with Gordon Thomas, Shadow Warriors, and The Nazi Ghost Train, focusing on espionage, resistance, fascism, and World War II.
