Damien Lewis is a British author and filmmaker who spent two decades as an award-winning war and conflict reporter for major broadcasters across Africa, South America, and the Middle and Far East. He began publishing books in 2001 and became known for bestselling narrative accounts of elite military operations, especially the SAS and covert missions during World War II. His work has been translated into more than forty languages and several books have been adapted for film, television, or stage.
