Simon Parkin is a British author and journalist who writes for publications including The New Yorker, The Observer, and The Guardian. His books combine narrative nonfiction with deeply researched history and cultural criticism, covering video games, World War II, wartime internment, and science during the siege of Leningrad. He is a Fellow of the Royal Historical Society, a Wingate Literary Prize winner, and lives in West Sussex.
