Sara Gay Forden is an author and journalist whose writing grew out of more than two decades reporting from Italy on the fashion industry. She covered the rise of family-owned labels such as Gucci, Armani, Versace, Prada, and Ferragamo for publications including The Wall Street Journal, Women's Wear Daily, W Magazine, and Bloomberg News. Her book The House of Gucci, based on extensive reporting and research into the Gucci family and brand, became the basis for a major motion picture.
