In September 1939, as a city grapples with fear and oppression, former chief investigator Jan Kalisz navigates a treacherous double life, secretly aiding the Polish resistance while under the watchful eye of the occupiers. When the niece of a Wehrmacht general is gruesomely murdered, he uncovers connections to a series of overlooked killings. Racing against time, Jan pursues a psychopathic killer known as The Artist, all while battling the stigma of being labeled a Nazi collaborator and striving to protect innocent lives.
