The Broken Spine

Trudell Becket, affectionately known as Tru, faces a crisis when her cherished library in Cypress, South Carolina, is transformed into a bookless technological center. Heartbroken, she and her friends, Tori and Flossie, secretly create a hidden bookroom to preserve their beloved titles. However, their plan takes a dark turn when the town manager is killed, and Tru finds herself the prime suspect due to her outspoken disdain for the library's makeover. To clear her name and protect the bookroom, Tru must investigate, with the help of her friends and a stray cat named Dewey Decimal.
