In July 1910, Lady Hardcastle and her devoted companion Flo aim to enjoy a much-needed seaside holiday, but their plans quickly derail when guests at their hotel begin to mysteriously disappear. The situation escalates with the disappearance of Dr. Goddard, a government scientist, along with his top-secret strongbox. As Lady Hardcastle investigates the growing number of vanishings, she must navigate a web of international intrigue and potential national security threats, all while uncovering a personal connection to the case that may shake her to her core.
