In September 1909, Lady Hardcastle and her maid, Florence, embark on what they expect to be a delightful week of motor racing and social events at Lord Riddlethorpe’s country estate. However, the festive atmosphere is shattered when a driver dies in a crash that appears to be far more than an unfortunate accident, leading the duo to uncover evidence of sabotage and murder. As they delve into the lives of the estate's servants and guests, they realize that beneath the surface, a web of secrets threatens to unravel, proving that danger lurks even in seemingly tranquil surroundings.
