Toward the Sea of Freedom

In mid-nineteenth-century Ireland, Kathleen and Michael, who work for a wealthy family, dream of a life together beyond their current confines, especially as Kathleen secretly carries a child. However, their plans are shattered when Kathleen is forced into a marriage and relocated to New Zealand, while Michael faces imprisonment and exile to Australia following a rebellion. As they navigate their new lives, both hold onto memories of their homeland and continue to dream of escape, unaware of how fate might intertwine their paths once again.
