In Pleasant Creek, Indiana, Liz Eckardt is managing the lively guests at the Olde Mansion Inn when she unexpectedly gets called for jury duty. Anticipating a brief escape from her busy life, her plans are derailed by an obnoxious fellow juror, Nora Wexler, who soon collapses and accuses Liz of trying to kill her.
