When rancher Ruben Beeler discovers his friend shot and mutilated, he enlists the help of Marshals Marion Daniels and Homer Poteet. Their investigation leads them on a gripping chase from St. Joe through Kansas and into the treacherous Oklahoma Territory, all while unraveling a trail of violence that stretches back to earlier crimes. As they pursue the killers, the Marshals confront the grim reality of serial murder amidst the lawlessness of the era, including encounters with the notorious Hangin' Judge Isaac Parker.
