David R. Lewis was an American novelist who lived in rural Missouri and drew on careers as a musician, metropolitan police officer, ranch hand, cowboy, and radio and television commercial-copy writer. He wrote character-driven adult fiction with tight dialogue, including the Trail Westerns and Crockett series, as well as paranormal fiction and reflective nonfiction. Lewis died on March 13, 2020.
