The Martin Beck Stories

The Martin Beck series, penned by Swedish duo Maj Sjöwall and Per Wahlöö from 1965 to 1975, is a landmark collection of detective novels that shaped Scandinavian crime fiction. Featuring ten books that introduce the flawed yet compelling character of Beck and his diverse team, the series delves into the darker realities of Sweden's seemingly progressive society.
