The Cambridge Siren

In spring 1941, as World War II rages on, the citizens of Cambridge seek refuge in public bomb shelters, which have become a grim part of daily life. The discovery of a young man's body in the Trinity Shelter sparks an investigation led by Detective Inspector Eden Brooke, who finds little evidence apart from a cinema ticket. Meanwhile, PC Vanessa Hill, a new recruit from Girton College, uses her artistic skills to create a sketch of the victim. As an autopsy reveals a mysterious hypodermic needle wound, Brooke faces a perplexing case that deepens the shadows of wartime life.
