He Who Whispers

When Miles Hammond attends a meeting of the Murder Club in London, he is instead drawn into a perplexing tale of an unsolved crime from France: a murder that occurred atop a tower with only one staircase. Amidst wild theories including levitating vampires, the story takes a personal turn for Miles as he discovers his new librarian, Fay Seton, is deeply connected to the case. With an ingenious plot and vibrant characters, including the notable detective Dr. Gideon Fell, this novel showcases the brilliance of author Clarice M. Carr.
