Jim Atkinson is an award-winning reporter, television correspondent, and crime writer who helped found D Magazine in Dallas and later became a contributing editor for Texas Monthly. His work has appeared in Esquire, GQ, Gourmet, the New York Times, and other publications. He coauthored the true-crime classic Evidence of Love with John Bloom and also wrote The View from Nowhere, a guide to notable drinking bars in America.
