Esther Shaya is an Amsterdam-based author of narrative nonfiction and biography focused on preserving stories from the Jewish community in the Netherlands. She has written Dutch-language books about wartime resistance and Henriëtte Pimentel, contributed eight historical narratives to the Jewish Houses Foundation, and co-authored Angels of Amsterdam, about the rescue of Jewish children during World War II.
