His writing career began with Battleground Prussia (2010), inspired by a patient’s memories of fleeing East Prussia in 1945. He has since written extensively about the Eastern Front in the First and Second World Wars, including campaigns in Germany, Russia, Ukraine, Poland, and the Baltic region.
