Samantha Ward-Smith is a historical fiction author whose novels combine history, mystery, and Gothic elements. Her debut, Tower of Vengeance, is a supernatural historical novel set in the Tower of London in 1214, followed by Ravenscourt, a Victorian Gothic mystery-romance set across Venice, London, and the Lancashire moors. After a career in investment banking, she earned a PhD in English from Birkbeck and drew on more than 13 years volunteering at the Tower of London to inform her writing.
