Madeline Miller is an American novelist and classicist known for retelling Greek myths through contemporary, character-driven narratives. Her debut novel, The Song of Achilles, won the 2012 Orange Prize for Fiction and became a New York Times bestseller; her second novel, Circe, was also a number-one bestseller and received multiple literary awards. She has also published the short stories Galatea and Mestra, and her writing has appeared in major publications including The Guardian, The Washington Post, and NPR.
