David Boles is an American author, dramatist, editor, publisher, and teacher based in New York City. He began publishing professionally in 1975, earned an MFA from Columbia University's Oscar Hammerstein II Center for Graduate Theatre Studies, and has been a member of the Dramatists Guild since 1984. His writing spans novels, short stories, drama, cultural criticism, memoir, technology, and ASL linguistics, and he founded David Boles Books Writing and Publishing.
