Michael Palin is an English writer, comedian, and founding member of Monty Python. He began writing comedy for radio and television before publishing novels, children’s books, plays, diaries, and acclaimed travel books based on his BBC journeys, including Around the World in 80 Days, Sahara, Himalaya, Brazil, and North Korea Journal. His later nonfiction includes historical and biographical works such as Erebus and Great-Uncle Harry.
