Scott Payne is a retired FBI Special Agent and author whose writing spans professional education and narrative nonfiction. He created PMP Exam Master Prep and related project-management study materials, and later made his book debut with Code Name: Pale Horse, a memoir co-written with journalist Michelle Shephard about his undercover work infiltrating domestic extremist groups. His nonfiction draws on 28 years in law enforcement, including investigations involving gangs, outlaw motorcycle clubs, public corruption, and domestic terrorism.
