Bryan Stevenson is an American lawyer, social justice activist, and author best known for his bestselling memoir Just Mercy, which chronicles his work defending poor and wrongly condemned people and was later adapted for young adults and film. He also writes forewords and contributes to nonfiction works addressing racial injustice, incarceration, civil rights, and American history, including Love and Justice and Chasing Me to My Grave.
