Bill Sloan is a former investigative reporter and feature writer who became a respected military historian and author of more than a dozen books. He is best known for vivid, extensively researched combat narratives about the Pacific War, including the battles of Wake Island, Bataan, Corregidor, Peleliu, Saipan, and Okinawa, as well as the Korean War. Sloan lives in Dallas, Texas.
