Hillel Levin is an investigative reporter and nonfiction author whose work has appeared in The Nation, New York magazine, Playboy, Metropolitan Detroit, and Chicago magazine, where he served as editor. He has written and co-written books about John DeLorean, Chicago organized crime, and a prison undercover mission to expose a serial killer; the latter became the basis for the Apple TV+ series Black Bird. His recent book, Submerged, investigates the Rayna Rison cold case.
