Jewell Parker Rhodes is an award-winning, New York Times bestselling American author who writes fiction for children, young adults, and adults. Her work includes middle-grade novels such as Ghost Boys, Black Brother, Black Brother, Will’s Race for Home, and the Louisiana Girls trilogy, as well as adult historical and literary novels including Voodoo Dreams, Magic City, Douglass’ Women, and Hurricane. She is also a creative-writing educator and serves as the Virginia G. Piper Endowed Chair at Arizona State University.
